THREE RECOMMENDED BOOKS TO READ AS AN ENTREPRENEUR BY THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2020

Twenty Nineteen had been a jumpy, unpredictable end to the teen years of the 21st century. Like the teenager that the decade was, it served shock to most budding businesses and as well served some upper-cuts to a couple of established businesses. Banking sector crisis, Investment scandals, it was a totally frustrating decade. But alas, its all over.

As twenty twenty begins, most businessmen and women would need to brace up for another treacherous decade, and what more efficient way to brace than to gather all the necessary knowledge one can get out there. As such here are my top 3 books that every entrepreneur in Tamale should be adding to their library before the first quarter of 2020.

Make no mistake! These books won’t just make you into an entrepreneur overnight or necessarily guarantee that you will but it could be for those willing to walk it like they talk it.

1. THE LEAN START UP by ERIC RIES:

An excellent read for first time entrepreneurs talks about the hit and misses of startups. Eric’s approach is pragmatic, his suggestions are spot on and brutally real on how to test your ideas before actually banking on them. You’d literally have several hmmm!! Whoa!! And yikes!! Moments to nodding to the volumes of truth in his book.

The book frantically goes against the status quo of having this conventional business plan and expensive product launch to proposing that the startups continuously and vigorously test the viability of their ideas and visions through hypothesis driven experiments and others in this ever evolving edgy technological era.

ALSO READ  2020, BUSINESS TRENDS TO LOOK OUT FOR IN TAMALE.

Everything slaps!. You’d wish you knew all that he writes about right from birth, giving a more scientific approach rather than a merely artistic one to utilizing the Lean Startup methodology.

The lean start up is a not just a recommended read but a mandatory book for every entrepreneur in the IT/TECH industry. You’d be appreciative of Eric’s witty narratives.

2. PERSONAL MBA (MASTER THE ART OF BUSINESS) by Josh Kaufmann

Quoting the very successful entrepreneur and bestselling author Josh Kaufmann

Business schools don’t create successful people. They simply accept them, then take credit for their success.

Josh Kaufmann – Personal MBA

From this book first off, Josh lashes out at business schools, the expensive nature of the courses and their outdated power point and other techniques in teaching students while laying tangible emphasizes on the pragmatism of these business models and secrets. Indeed! True and successful entrepreneurs aren’t made by mere `business schools and a some degree papers alone.

Downright, They make it by getting right into the battle field by themselves earnestly polishing their skills, seeking out knowledge gunning for the top, gleaning sense from tough experiences, taking the punches and rolling with them and of course applying wisdom and thus exactly what the book tries to point out as Josh filters out he most trivial business concepts into simplistic and memorable points.

Sad that you couldn’t get to study your dream MBA course , wipe your tears off as josh Kaufman literally saves the day with his book” THE PERSONAL MBA’. Most of us would not get to pursue the MBA we longed wished for in these elite colleges but thanks to Josh you can have your dream MBA Tailor made for you.
